The Darwin app itself

Darwin runs locally on your computer. Your files, notes, memory, voice recordings and conversations stay on your machine — we have no server that receives them and we collect nothing from the app. If you choose a cloud AI brain, your conversation goes directly from your computer to that provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Groq…) under your own account and keys, governed by their terms. Choose the local brain and nothing leaves your PC at all.

When you buy Darwin

Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. From the purchase we receive your name, e-mail address and billing country, and we use them to issue your personal license key, e-mail it to you, keep legally required accounting records, and provide support. Legal bases: performance of a contract and legal obligation (accounting, 10 years). We don't sell or share these data with anyone else, and we don't add you to a newsletter.

This website

darwinaiassistant.com is a static site served by Cloudflare. We use no third-party advertising or cross-site tracking, and by default we set no cookies at all. Here is everything we do measure, in full:

• Page views — Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and aggregate. It tells us how many people opened a page, not who they were.
• Which buttons get used — our own counter records the event (for example «clicked Standard»), the page, the language and the site. No IP address, no cookie, no visitor identifier, so the records cannot be joined into a person or a session.
• One cookie, and only sometimes — if you arrive through a partner's link (?ref=), we store that partner's code in your browser for 60 days so the sale can be credited to them. It is first-party, contains nothing about you, and is never set for visitors who did not come through such a link.

The "Ask Darwin" demo sends your typed or spoken question to our relay so Darwin can answer, with a small daily limit per visitor. Those questions are not stored — the relay keeps only the counters it needs for the limit.

The help chat (the one in the corner of the support pages) is different, and we would rather say so plainly: since 4 September 2026 we keep the question and the answer so we can see what the site fails to explain and fix it. Stored without any IP address, hash, session or identifier — individual questions cannot be linked to a person or to each other — and deleted automatically after 90 days. Please do not type anything into it you would not want us to read; if you would like a question of yours removed sooner, write to us and we will delete that day's file.

Cloudflare processes IP addresses technically to serve and protect the site.

Optional features that phone home

Two app features contact us, both under your control: the update check fetches a version manifest (a plain file download), and the feature-request / feedback form sends exactly the text you write, with your consent, so we can improve Darwin.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion or portability of your data, object to processing, and complain to the Slovak Data Protection Office (dataprotection.gov.sk). Write to info@blueberrysdigital.com — since we hold so little, it's usually a quick job.
