Company mail too — Outlook & Microsoft 365, one click

Plenty of working life happens in an Outlook.com or Microsoft 365 mailbox — and Microsoft switched off plain IMAP passwords there, so the usual mailbox setup can't reach it. This connection does it the official way instead: you sign in once with your own Microsoft account, and I read your mail. Read only — I never send, never delete, never mark as read.

The setup — genuinely one click

1. On the dashboard, open the Outlook page.
2. Click Sign in Outlook. A normal Microsoft sign-in window opens — the same one you know from Office.
3. Sign in with your own account and confirm. Done.

The sign-in stays on your computer and renews itself, so this is a once-per-account affair. Got several mailboxes — personal Outlook.com plus a company one? Sign in each; I'll watch them all and tell you which one a mail landed in.

What you get

• Ask about your mail: what's new, anything from a given sender, what arrived this week — across Outlook and your other connected mailboxes alike.
• Morning brief: your Microsoft mail joins the morning summary next to your calendar and tasks.
• Trigger for automation: your processes can fire on new mail in an Outlook account too — “when something arrives in the company mailbox, check it against open orders”.

The honest fine print

• Strictly read-only. The permission this connection asks Microsoft for is reading mail — nothing else. Sending, deleting, moving: not possible over this line, by construction, even if you asked me to.
• Your sign-in, your control. The access token is stored locally on your computer; you can revoke it any time in your Microsoft account's app permissions.
• Company accounts: some organizations require a one-time IT admin approval before employees can connect apps. If your sign-in ends with a message about admin consent, that's your company's policy, not a fault — forward it to your IT and you're a click away.

Your company inbox stops being a separate world you have to go and check — it reports to the same morning brief as everything else.
