What Darwin can do — and how he got there

The dashboard is the small part. Underneath is a local AI assistant that has shipped a new version almost every three days since June. This page is the honest inventory: what Darwin does today, and the timeline of how each piece arrived.

What Darwin is, in ten boxes

You buy once. Every version below reached every owner as a free update.

Release by release

The beginning. Version 1 was built for our own needs at BlueberryS: an assistant that sorted our mail, remembered our projects and talked with us while we worked on EasyBridge and EasyCAD. When we wanted to hand him to others, we rebuilt him into a product that runs on someone else’s computer, with their keys, without us — that is version 2. From there the history is public, and every line below reached owners as an update.

• 2.3.75 Sep 2026Eyes on video, lips after dubbing, subtitles — and a phone that no longer interrupts work

  Darwin watches a video: scenes, a timed transcript and a description into memory, so you can ask “what happens in minute three”. After dubbing it re-syncs the lips (sync.so) and produces subtitles. An agent asks for approval of a paid action with a button on your phone and saves a generated image straight into its own folder. A locked phone screen no longer kills a turn — the reply waits and is delivered. Trials can be extended or ended to the day.

  Agent notes go to the agent’s own folder. A “No tools (writes text only)” switch for agents that answer strangers. ManyChat sets up its writer + critic pair for a new owner by itself. New license keys activate once and bind to the computer; trial on request.

  A third button on approval questions — ✍ Feedback — sends what to change, typed or spoken, in full length. Tool denials from the brain link are now visible instead of silently dropped; non-Gmail sent/drafts folders open.

  A broken automation entry no longer takes the scheduler down. Agents with a working folder on a NAS keep their tools. Mail filters handle diacritics. Service mode can read the brain-link configuration.

  Edit documents in every common format with a backup first. Edit an agent by voice (rename, voice, brain, add to role). Student mode on all brains, newest models. Phone chat resizes from both edges.

  Every new agent starts on Sonnet instead of the fastest, simplest model. An agent with a read-only folder says exactly what it is missing.

  PowerPoint and LibreOffice added — nine formats. A House window with rooms, lights and sensors (Tuya, Kasa). Remote approvals sync between PC and phone. Instagram DMs via ManyChat with approval of every reply.

  Assign each agent the folders of one job; it draws only from them. Nested projects, aliases, a working folder to write to and knowledge folders to read from. Settings regrouped with search. The phone says at once why a brain failed.

  PrivateChat: voice notes, files, approval buttons — all inside end-to-end encryption; self-service setup. A “forget” tool that really deletes from memory.

  Darwin adopts and protects your own tools so an update never overwrites them; a DARWIN-DEV.md guide for your own Claude Code; a core manifest that tells you what an update reset and where your version is kept.

  The orb rearranges into a particle face that lip-syncs to speech; every agent can have its own face and voice. A Tasks window with real physics and a board. Telegram with voice notes, no tunnel needed. The memory write gate: a new fact replaces the old.

  Processes such as mail triage can run fully free and private on a local Ollama model, attachments included. EasyCAD link: the small Darwin inside EasyCAD works as a connected agent. Attachments on all brains.

  Memory shared across your devices. Word, Excel and PDF read whole, archives opened, Gmail drafts, a usage overview. The same tools on every brain. 2.1.6 fixed tools on the GPT subscription brain.

  Improvements to the shipped tools reach existing installations; your own tools are never touched.

  A service log that never records sensitive data or speech. The credential vault pairs to the PC, checks the domain you actually landed on (SSO too) and the site’s certificate. The remote-access component is verified by signature before every start.

  A missing file kept remote access from starting — fixed. OCR for scanned PDFs. Send from a specific company address. Process results to the phone. Image and video generation for agents. A read-only, expiring service mode for remote support.

  A 3D map of memory where related topics cluster. Darwin operates himself by voice: run a saved process by name, switch modes. Audio through the orb. Passwords never in chat — a vault plus Windows Credential Manager. Interrupted work continues with “continue”. Your remote address on one click.

  Setup starts with language (six, including the license terms). Hand-gesture control over the webcam, running locally. Instant voice commands with no AI in the loop.

  Own icon and frameless window, plugin management in Settings, Darwin writes notes about finished work. Attachments survive interruptions; the access code asks instead of failing silently; document libraries browsed level by level.

  Darwin builds a tool and a button for it appears on the dashboard by itself. Accent colour for the whole cockpit. Flash voice: answers start four times faster. A dubbing tool with an honest cost estimate. Correct forms of address for your gender; custom voices.

  Node.js bundled, so Claude Code or GPT is one click. A step-by-step first run. Long runs no longer lose their work on timeout. Starter agents with real personality.

  Every agent gets a memory card and assigned knowledge folders. Processes chain, run review-then-approve, survive restarts, and trigger on a changed folder, a specific e-mail or a calendar event. Multiple mailboxes; start with Windows.

Three months, thirty-nine versions. Nothing here is a roadmap — it is all in the installer today.
