New · Darwin × EasyCAD

Call from the car. The take-off list is ready when you're home.

Darwin now runs your AutoCAD too: a little Darwin lives inside EasyCAD, and the big Darwin feeds it work — from your desk or from your phone. This is live today, not a roadmap slide.

How it works

Tell Darwin — by voice or text, at the PC or from your phone — "give little Darwin a task…". Darwin puts it in a queue. Every ~5 seconds, the little Darwin inside EasyCAD asks him "got anything for me?", picks the task up, does it directly in the open drawing with its own tools — reading and editing entities, take-off reports, block attributes — and sends the result back.

AutoCAD switched off? The task simply waits in the queue, like a message for a computer that's asleep — the next time AutoCAD starts, it gets picked up. And the answer finds you wherever you are: a bubble and voice on the dashboard, a push on your phone, and a record in the chat history even if your phone was asleep too.

AutoCAD is never a server: no open ports, no firewall rules. The little Darwin only ever asks — over the local loopback, on your machine. Remote tasks run in an isolated context, so they never mix into the conversation you have open in EasyCAD.

One memory, shared

Darwin already indexes your documents — PDFs, Word, Excel, scans through OCR, standards, project files — into his semantic memory. EasyCAD doesn't build a second index and doesn't double your RAM: it asks Darwin. Ask the little Darwin about a standard right from the drawing, and the answer comes from Darwin's library — with a link to the exact file and page.

Darwin not running? EasyCAD isn't deaf — it falls back to its own full-text search.

You always see where he is

Every one of those "got anything for me?" calls doubles as a heartbeat, so Darwin's dashboard shows a live presence card — this is it, straight from the dashboard:

Dashboard card EasyCAD · malý Darwin — green dot, online, listening
green — online, listening
Dashboard card EasyCAD · malý Darwin — yellow dot, working on a task
yellow — working on a task

AutoCAD off? The card goes grey — and the queue holds your tasks.

What you need — honestly

  • Darwin Standard or Pro and EasyCAD with the AI assistant, both on the same PC.
  • Designing bridges? Darwin drives EasyBridge the same way.
  • Pairing is one 6-digit code from Darwin's settings — the same code covers search and tasks — and a "⇄ Test connection" button in EasyCAD tells you immediately that everything's OK. Optional: start Darwin automatically with AutoCAD.
  • Your phone reaches Darwin through his remote access — the same encrypted tunnel, paired to your devices.

Everything runs locally on your PC. Nothing goes to a cloud, the pairing code can be regenerated any time, and there's an audit log of what ran.
